An expungement is a court order that removes something from your criminal record. Expungement gives you the opportunity to have all court and arrest records sealed so that they cannot be seen by future employers. If your record is expunged, you do not have to tell an employer that you have a criminal record. You would also be able to apply for jobs that people with criminal records are not eligible to apply for.
