Limited  Pathways 

The below pathways are eligible for CEO support but they are limited because of their cost, number of training providers in CEO cities, required work experience, or more stringent limitations of employment for individuals with criminal convictions. Peer Support Specialist 

A Peer Support Specialist is someone who has lived experience with mental health issues, substance abuse, or other challenges and uses that experience to support others facing similar problems. They provide emotional support and assist clients in setting goals and developing recovery plans.

Why is this pathway not accessible to everyone?  

In addition to having lived experience, we've found that each state has specific requirements to become a Certified Peer Support Specialist. 

Prerequisites for Peer support specialists

Solar Photovoltaic Installer

A Solar Photovoltaic Installer assembles, installs, or maintains solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks.

Information Technology

IT Support roles provide technical assistance to computer users and answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Fiber Optic Technician 

Fiber Optic Technicians build, install, test, or maintain optical or fiber optic equipment, such as lasers, lenses, or mirrors, using spectrometers, interferometers, or related equipment.

Why is this pathway not accessible to everyone?  

Prerequisites for Fiber Optic Technician: 

Heavy Equipment Operator 

Heavy Equipment Operators operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement.
